First Scans with Epson V600 Scanner

This is a couple of  my first scans with the Epson V600 Scanner.  I can’t really give a full review but I just wanna say that this scanner did NOT come with a good manual at all…or anything I would call a manual. I had to watch a few youtube.com videos to see what I was doing wrong and so on. I still haven’t really gotten the hang of it but I am sure the more I mess with it the more I will get the hang of scanning with it. The ones with the black border were taken with 120mm film leaving  the 35mm attachment on giving it the dark black boarder. They didn’t turn out so well, they are very grainy and I am still trying to figure out if I can fix them but I am tired and will have to try some tomorrow. I might take them in and have them scanned professionally and see how they turn out. Maybe my lab can give me some pointers.

Any advice would be helpful!

  1. hmm. this is kinda late, i guess u’ve already got it figured out by now… but i had no trouble setting up my V600. using the supplied epson software, it automatically detected the film frame, and cropped out all the borders… the only work i had to do was adjusting colors in photoshop (for color images, obviously), and for b/w shots, very little adjusting was needed
